N4 consolidation story #90. The narrator arrives at a hotel, fills out the form at the front desk, and checks in. The staff asks them to write their name, hands over the key, and carries the luggage. They can see the sea from the room, and after resting they plan to have breakfast. Recycles known N4 grammar and hotel vocabulary. Patterns: 〜ていただけますか, 〜たあとで, 〜まま, 〜まで, 〜られる (potential), 〜ば.

夕方ゆうがた、予約よやくしたホテルに着ついて、受付うけつけで店員てんいんさんに「予約よやくを確認かくにんしていただけますか」と言いった。

訳 English

In the evening I arrived at the hotel I had reserved, and at the front desk I said to the staff, "Could you please confirm my reservation?"

受付うけつけの人ひとは、「この紙かみに名前なまえを記入きにゅうしていただけますか」と言いったので、ペンを持もったまま、ゆっくり書かいた。

訳 English

The person at the front desk said, "Could you please write your name on this paper?", so with the pen still in my hand I wrote slowly.

記入きにゅうが終おわったあとで、店員てんいんさんが部屋へやの鍵かぎをくれて、重おもい荷物にもつを五ご階かいの部屋へやまで案内あんないしてくれた。

After I finished filling it in, the staff gave me the room key and carried my heavy luggage all the way up to the room on the fifth floor.

部屋へやに入はいると、窓まどからきれいな海うみが見みられた。とても気持きもちがよかった。

When I entered the room, I could see a beautiful sea from the window. It felt really nice.

少すこし休やすんだあとで、明日あしたの朝あさを楽たのしみにした。早はやく起おきれば、おいしい朝食ちょうしょくが食たべられるままだろうと思おもった。

After resting a little, I looked forward to tomorrow morning. I thought that if I get up early, I'll be able to eat a delicious breakfast.
