訳 English

First I said to the clerk, "A user card, please." The registration form had tiny characters and was hard to read, but somehow I filled it out.

妹いもうとも一緒いっしょに来きて、絵本えほんを借かりたがった。わたしは電子でんし書籍しょせきより紙かみの本ほんのほうが好すきなので、棚たなで小説しょうせつを探さがした。

訳 English

My little sister came along too and wanted to borrow a picture book. Since I like paper books more than e-books, I searched the shelves for a novel.

読よみたかった本ほんが見みつかったので、貸かし出だしの係かかりの所ところへ持もって行いった。「この本ほんをお借かりします」と言いって、カードを渡わたした。

I found a book I'd wanted to read, so I carried it to the checkout clerk. Saying "I'll borrow this book," I handed over my card.

係かかりの人ひとは「返かえす期限きげんは二週間にしゅうかんです」と教おしえてくれた。妹いもうとの絵本えほんも一緒いっしょに借かりて、期限きげんまでに返かえそうと思おもった。

訳 English

The clerk told me, "The return deadline is two weeks." I borrowed my sister's picture book together with mine, and decided to return them by the deadline.
