A short everyday story about browsing a hundred-yen shop, being helped politely by the staff, comparing cheap goods, and deciding what to buy. Recycles six familiar N4 grammar points at spaced intervals: なさる, お〜いたします, 〜ところ, 〜ば〜ほど, 〜ようにする, and 〜方.

On Sunday, I went to a hundred-yen shop nearby. There were so many goods in the store that the more I looked, the more I wanted them.

I put stationery and storage products into my shopping basket. Even though they are cheap, there are many convenient goods.

店員てんいんさんが来きて、「どちらの色いろになさいますか」と聞きいた。

A clerk came over and asked, "Which color would you like?"

「収納しゅうのうの商品しょうひんでしたら、私わたしがお手伝てつだいいたします」と店員てんいんさんが言いった。

"If it's a storage product, I'll help you," the clerk said.

私わたしがレジに行いくところで、店員てんいんさんが商品しょうひんの使つかい方かたを教おしえてくれた。

Just as I was about to go to the register, the clerk taught me how to use the product.

家いえでは、買かったコップコップが割われないようにするつもりだ。やすい品物しなものでも、大切たいせつに使つかいたい。

At home, I intend to try to keep the cup I bought from breaking. Even though the goods are cheap, I want to use them with care.
