N4 consolidation story #81. The narrator's hair has gotten too long, so they make a reservation and go to the hair salon for a haircut. Recycles known N4 grammar and hair-salon vocabulary. Patterns: 〜てもらう, 〜てほしい, 〜すぎる, 〜ように, 〜かもしれない, 〜くする・にする.

When I arrived at the salon, the hairdresser washed my hair. It felt nice, so I had them wash it slowly.

それから、美容師びようしさんに「前髪まえがみを切きってほしい」と言いった。長ながいのも好すきだが、夏なつは短みじかいほうがいいと思おもった。

After that, I told the hairdresser, 'I want you to cut my bangs.' I like it long too, but I thought shorter would be better for summer.

美容師びようしさんは、顔かおに似合にあうように、髪かみを短みじかくしてくれた。鏡かがみを見みると、とても似合にあっていた。

The hairdresser cut my hair short so that it would suit my face. When I looked in the mirror, it suited me very well.

家いえに帰かえってからも、何度なんども鏡かがみを見みた。次つぎは髪かみの色いろを変かえるかもしれない。今日きょうは美容院びよういんに来きてよかった。

Even after I got home, I looked in the mirror many times. Next time I might change the color of my hair. I'm glad I came to the salon today.
