- Notice the two 'tendency' patterns and their nuance: 〜気味 (a slight touch of) versus 〜がち (prone to, does it often).
- Spot how ほど marks degree: 涙が出るほど懐かしい (nostalgic to the point of tears).
- Optional: say one 〜がたい sentence out loud about something hard to believe or hard to forget.
