Before you read — make your own sentences
- Contrast に比べて (compared to) in paragraph 1 with に対して (toward / in contrast) in the last paragraph — both compare, but に対して marks the target of an attitude.
- Notice にしても (even if) vs にしては (for / considering): 忙しいにしても = even if busy; 初めてにしては = for a first-timer.
- Optional: find に慣れる twice (paragraph 2 and near the end) — 生活に慣れる = get used to a lifestyle.
