Before you read — make your own sentences
- Notice はもちろん (paragraph 2) adding an expected item plus a surprising extra, versus 上に (paragraph 3) stacking two qualities. Both mean 'in addition' — which one implies 'obviously, and also'?
- Track わけではない (paragraph 4, softening a claim — 'it's not that…') against わけがない (paragraph 5, flatly denying a possibility — 'no way'). One is a partial denial, the other total.
- Find は〜で有名 (paragraph 1) naming what the town is known for, and わけだ (paragraph 5) drawing a 'that explains it' conclusion.
