- Notice から〜にかけて spans a range (朝から昼にかけて = from morning through afternoon).
- Contrast 結果 (as a result of) with 結局 (in the end / after all).
- Optional: notice 食べ切れない = more than one can finish eating (切れない = unable to complete).
