Texting a friend to invite them to a movie. Recycles invitation grammar — 〜ませんか (won't you…?), 〜ましょう (let's), 〜なら (if it's…), 〜し (listing reasons), 〜つもり (intend to) — plus 〜ことになる (it's been decided), and everyday invitation vocabulary for a 友達を誘う roleplay.

A reply came right away. It said, "Saturday I'm busy, but Sunday is fine. I'm free, the weather's nice, and I'd love to go!"

それで、「じゃあ、日曜日にちようびに駅えきで会あいましょう」と決きめました。

So we decided, "Then let's meet at the station on Sunday."

ほかの友達ともだちも誘さそったら、みんなで行いくことになりました。一人ひとりだけ都合つごうが悪わるくて、参加さんかを断ことわりました。でも、その誘さそいはまた今度こんどにしました。

When I invited my other friends too, it ended up that everyone would go. Only one couldn't make it and declined. But we'll take a rain check for another time.
